This workshop offers an accessible perspective on the embodied layers of visible and invisible trauma, through our neurobiology. Grounded in the research and practice of Somatic Experiencing® and awareness through mindfulness, participants engage with the value of the felt sense, and the "bottom up" ways we process lived experience (including traumatic stress and chronic pain syndromes). We learn about bodily expression as part of the integrative whole of how we be, and how we can forge a healing path through understanding of what is unearthed in us. This workshop is a dynamic flow of listening, sharing, sensing, gentle movement, and learning. We hold mutual care throughout, inviting curiosity and compassion, and with the knowing that we will not be invited to share our traumatic experiences (direct or indirect) during this workshop.
