KINESOMA is a joyful movement experience beginning slowly and gently on the floor, and building in dynamism into standing and moving around the room. Sandrine’s great love for blending movement languages, global music, and playful explorations give this class a signature feeling.
Most importantly, KINESOMA is for every body and everybody. No background in dance is needed to join in, and it’s a space to grow and explore and FEEL movement.
Sandrine offered her first creative movement class for adults — bringing the joy of dance together with the embodied inquiry of somatics — while living and dancing in Prague in 1999 (a class that has become known as KINESOMA). She has joyfully offered KINESOMA classes all over the world, including with PILOBOLUS dancers, women recovering from cancer surgery, patients moving with Parkinson’s Disease, and communities with all different backgrounds and levels of mobility.
