Understanding and Healing Trauma through Mindfulness, Embodiment and Connection
annual weekend retreat with Vamsi Koneru and Sandrine Harris
Fri, Jan 19 evening - Sun, Jan 21 midday
Join clinical psychologist and trauma-informed mindfulness teacher, Vamsi Koneru and somatics and trauma practitioner, Sandrine Harris, for a weekend retreat to deepen your understanding of trauma. We will engage in experiential practices, sharing and discussion, and engaged learning to enrich the compassion-filled work of healing.
Attendees will be guided through a collaborative process drawing from work including trauma-informed mindfulness meditation, somatics and body-based inquiry, gentle movement, and deep listening. Whether this topic is new to you or you're an individual enriching your understanding, this workshop offers foundational learning and practice as a groundwork for learning what is present in yourself now and how this may be impacted by lived experience (incl. trauma). From this place of inner connection and awareness, we can connect with others and the environments we inhabit, with more capacity.
*No trauma stories are shared during our time together.
For all adults, and no experience with meditation or trauma education is needed to join us.
