EMERGENT NATURE
a workshop exploring trauma-sensitive somatics & training for yoga teachers
with Sandrine Harris (SEP, RSMT, GCFP)

*plus 3 - 4pm for certified Yoga Teachers wanting CEUs for this training

Join us for an exploration of sensory awareness and gentle meditative movement, as we learn to navigate what happens in our minds, hearts and bodies in challenging, stressful, or traumatic experiences. Bringing together neurobiology and the embodied process of somatics, this Emergent Nature workshop offers foundational learning on how we can reconnect to our fundamental wholeness as we move through life's waves.

Sandrine will offer both educational and process-based moments throughout this workshop, with a specific emphasis (during the portion from 3 - 4pm) in understanding trauma-sensitivity for those facilitating within community.

This workshop is open to adults of all abilities (ages 18+) who are interested in experiencing an embodied connection between the mind/psyche, the emotions, and the sensing body. This is also a time to learn about trauma and how it gets held in our physical bodies when experiences are not fully integrated. Healing begins with this embodied learning.

Please wear comfortable clothing for movement, plus layers and socks for warmth. Please bring a notebook and pen for processing. Yoga mats, blankets, bolsters and chairs will be provided.

CEUs through Yoga Alliance are available for yoga teachers registered from 1-4pm. Attendance is required.
