Mindful Photography in Nature
a guided experience in meditation and photography
Thad Kubis (hiking guide, photographer and photography teacher)
and Sandrine Harris
Sunday, Aug 13th @ 10 - 11:30am | REGISTER HERE
Join mindfulness-in-nature facilitator, Sandrine Harris, and photographer and photography teacher, Thad Kubis, for an immersive experience in the natural beauty at Bartholomew’s Cobble. This guided mindful photography journey aims to change the way you see and how you engage with both photography and the environments you inhabit.
The walk begins with time for orientation and meeting each other, thinking about photography as a way of seeing, feeling, and an introduction to the concept of ‘pre-visualization’ for your creative vision. During the easeful and paced walk together, you’re invited to mindfully notice your inner landscape meeting the dynamic landscape around you. Awaken your senses, develop a new perspective on photography, and enjoy a gathering of quiet and reflective moments outdoors.
What to bring: Any camera system (digital or film) or smartphone/tablet; Sturdy footwear.
No experience with photography or meditation is needed
This is a rain or shine event (there is ample forest cover in the event of rain).
